VOST SPAIN

The Virtual Operation Support Team born on twitter on August 4, 2012, was created to counteract hoaxes and rumors that were being generated in different wildfires taking place at that time. Similarly, @vostSPAIN was created with the aim of providing support to the emergency teams, spreading their public service messages and official accounts. We, therefore created two hashtags: #StopBulos to curb the rumors and malicious information and #InfoEmerg as a source of emergency information. VOST Spain and its various regional accounts are present in any emergency that occurs in Spain, for monitoring and acting on disclosure and to dispel hoaxes.
